Crazy alert

No Runny Eggs has sounded the Emergency Blogging System, while Boots & Sabers calls it offensive.  I agree that it is offensive and would add that Kentucky Rep. Tim Couch’s proposal is plain crazy.  This flys in the face of 1st Amendment – yet another nanny-state attempt at taking away freedom.

In the end it appears to be a case of a RINO trying to gain attention.

Couch, however, said he won’t push the bill — he just wants to draw attention to the growing presence of anonymous and often mean-spirited comments on Web sites.

“This is something the people back home wanted,” he said.

Couch said parents in his district who are concerned about anonymous postings on Web logs, or blogs, about their children approached him.

People it’s called life – get some thicker skin and deal with it!
