Kagen votes for more pork

The House yesterday approved sending another $410 billion down the drain.  That would be the omnibus spending bill that was loaded with 9,000 earmarks.  Some of the earmarks:

* $200,000 for “Tattoo Removal Violence Prevention Outreach Program,” pg. 283;

*Maine lobster earmark in the omnibus, pg. 173;

*$5.8 million earmark for the “Ted Kennedy Institute for the Senate…for the planning and design of a building & an endowment,” pg. 232;

*and National Council of La Raza, $473,000 earmark from Sens. Bingaman and Menendez, pg. 212.

Not surprisingly Congressman Kagen voted for this porkulus deal.  He also had a few earmarks in the bill to the tune of $2,732,000.

Speciality Martets, Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade. and Consumer Protection  $338,000

Wisconsin Uvestock Identification Consortium $1,455,000

Johne’s Disease activities, Wisconsin $939,000

Again Congressman Kagen the question has to be asked, why do continue to vote for pork-filled bills that waste OUR money as taxpayers??

And here’s some more.  Why don’t you disclose your earmark requests online?  Better yet why don’t you forgo making earmark requests?
