Obama a “false prophet” …

according to Jon Voight.

Actor John Voight has blasted US President Barack Obama, calling him a ‘false prophet’. The 70-year-old star, whose daughter is Angelina Jolie, launched the scathing attack while hosting a fundraiser for the U.S. Republican Party in Washington, D.C. on Monday.

In his fiery speech to the assembled audience he said that the Democrat had fooled people into voting Obama into the White House by promising change. Insisting that the President’s administration had
thus far been a failure, Voight’s views about the Democrat party were challenging his daughter’s belief who has been a strong supporter of the Obama administration, Contactmusic reported.

“Are we supposed to be sitting and waiting, watching for the possibility of a new Holocaust? Who”s going to take the responsibility to keep America, I mean Israel, safe? I”ll tell you why this really scares the hell out of me.  Everything Obama has recommended has turned out to be disastrous,” the Midnight Cowboy star exclaimed.

He added, “Obama really thinks he is a soft-spoken Julius Caesar. He think he”s going to conquer the
world with his soft-spoken sweet talk and really think he”s going to bring all of the enemies of the world into a little playground, where they”ll swing each other back and forth.” (Source: Angelina’s father attacks Barack Obama – One India)

And the reaction from Republicans in attendance was glowing.

“One of the most courageous acts in our society today is to stand up in Hollywood and say you’re a conservative Republican,” said Rep. Paul Ryan (Wisc.), who introduced the Oscar-winning actor.

“Wasn’t that a great speech?” asked Sen. Orrin Hatch (Utah).

“Isn’t it a refreshing thing to hear a person from Hollywood give the kind of speech Jon did tonight,” said NRSC Chairman John Cornyn.  “Jon, we need more people like you in Hollywood to speak their conscience.”

“I’m still just reveling in hearing someone from Hollywood give a speech like that,” said Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (Kent.).  “I hope you’re going to be able to find work after this.”

Gingrich, opening what would be close to an hour-long speech, said Voight “has given you the battle cry for the next few years,” referencing a quote Voight used from his characterization of President
Franklin Roosevelt in the movie, “Pearl Harbor.” (Source: Voigt rips Obama at GOP Fundraiser – Real Clear Politics)

And a great battle cry it was.  Here is Jon’s whole speech.
