Where are the jobs?

This is a good ad on the heels of news that the national unemployment rate is now 9.5%.

Interesting that it highlights a bridge to a restaurant in Wisconsin.

One small bridge near Stevens Point, Wis., is getting $840,000 in stimulus money, although it carries 260 vehicles a day, many of them to Rusty’s Backwater Saloon. Rusty Fischer, the restaurant’s owner, said the bridge is “definitely in need of repair.” Then again, he added, it is crossing a little creek that could have been easily and cheaply forded with a culvert.  (Source: GOP Faults  Some Stimulus Projects – Wall Street Journal)

The point of the ad though is that the stimulus package shoved down the throats of the American people is not working.

Hey Comrade Kagen isn’t it about time to admit these statements back on February 13 were lies?

It allows us to transform our economy, generating millions of new jobs in the process …

I am working hard to bring our tax dollars back to Wisconsin where they belong investing in our schools, our roads and our bridges to generate the jobs people need to pay their bills every month.

Especially since we are still trying to answer the question -” Where are the jobs?”

  2. There are no jobs for 16.5% of the workforce because the government can’t create jobs, it can only harrass the working man with over regulation and lawsuits, take his profits, and give special treatment to big corporations, lawyers, and unions. 16.5% is about 25.5 million Americans who get up every day with nothing to do but worry and scrimp. And in a jobless recovery, they can’t even hope. They’re left out, used up, it’s over for them. America doesn’t need their contribution, whatever it might have been. Oh no, we have the Messiah so you 25 million jobless and your families can just go rot. Unemployment causes cancer.
