Biden: Tea Party not “racist”

The Obama administration has sent out Joe to address what the administration thinks of the Tea Party movement.

Vice President Biden said Sunday that neither he nor the president thinks the Tea Party is a “racist organization,” after the NAACP voted Tuesday to condemn the “racist elements” in the conservative activist movement.  Biden, speaking on ABC‘s “This Week,” said both members and those on the “periphery” of the movement have expressed “racist views” which he described as “really unfortunate.” But despite the differences the administration has with Tea Partiers, Biden says he does not think that certain behavior by some members accurately portrays the movement as a whole. “I wouldn’t characterize the Tea Party as racist,” Biden said. “I don’t believe, the president doesn’t believe, that the Tea Party is a racist organization. I don’t believe that — very conservative, very different views on government and a whole lot of things, but it is not a racist organization.”  (Source: Fox News)

What do you think? Is what VP Biden said just talk or the truth on this issue?

Shoebox has a good question

when it comes to Obama’s explanation for firing Americorps IG Walprin.

In a letter sent to leaders of the Senate, President Obama now claims that Inspector General of the Americorps, Gerald Walpin, was fired because he was:

so “confused” and “disoriented” that there was reason to question “his capacity to serve.”

If that is grounds for termination in the Obama administration can someone explain to me how Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid are allowed to stay in office? (Source: Just Wondering – No Runny Eggs)

Anybody else smell a rat with the explantion the President gave?

This time regarding a large transportation project.

Vice President Joe Biden is off track about the nation’s largest transportation project.

When questioned by The Record of Bergen County about the Hudson River rail tunnel during a conference call on Monday, Biden told the New Jersey newspaper the tunnel “is designed to provide for automobile traffic.”

However, the tunnel will only handle commuter trains that shuttle passengers between New Jersey and Manhattan.

Biden’s office said Tuesday the vice president misheard the question.

Biden’s press secretary, Elizabeth Alexander, says the vice president is a big proponent of rail and worked hard to boost funding for the project.

Officials broke ground on the $8.7 billion project on Monday. (Source: Biden mistaken that cars could use rail tunnel – WBAY)

How long before the Obama administration prevents this guy from saying anything publicly?
