Republican Scott Walker and Democrat Tom Barrett will meet next week for their first debate in the governor’s race.
Walker and Barrett both won their respective parties’ primaries on Tuesday. The debate on Friday, Sept. 24, is hosted by the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association and will be broadcast live on stations across the state starting at 7 p.m.
The candidates will be questioned by a panel of three broadcast journalists. They are WTMJ-TV reporter Mike Jacobs, WSAW news director Sue Ramsett and Wisconsin Public Radio Capitol correspondent Shawn Johnson. (Source: Green Bay Press Gazette)
Voters would be wise to pay attention so that an informed choice is made November 2. Don’t make a decision based on campaign commercials alone.
